Curatio means healing
The term “curatio” originates from the Latin language and translates to “healing.”
Most sickness, pain and discomfort in the human body is a result of an energy imbalance. If your energy is not flowing correctly you will be likely to suffer some kind of discomfort, which if not corrected will lead to more serious problems like dis-ease. Health problems, both physically and emotionally, are interconnected, therefore working with the body’s energy system to bring it back into balance will help to alleviate any discomfort arising from a physical or emotional issue.

At Curatio we focus on helping you heal. Our therapy will allow your body to enter a state of complete relaxation and activate it’s natural healing powers that usually get switched off in the busy cycle of everyday life. Meet The Team
Benjamin Robbins
Founder and director of Curatio Massage and Healing.
Benjamin was born in Melbourne in 1973 and initially followed a very different path, graduating from the University of Melbourne with a degree in Architecture. However, a move to Japan in 2000 marked the beginning of a profound shift in direction and a personal journey into health, wellbeing, and self-discovery.
While living in Japan, Benjamin became deeply interested in natural approaches to health. Through intensive detox and fasting programs he experienced significant personal transformation, which sparked a curiosity about the body’s ability to heal and restore balance. This experience led him to explore physical therapies and traditional healing practices.
In 2008, an extended stay in Chiang Mai, Thailand, became another pivotal chapter. There he immersed himself in the study of Traditional Thai Massage, deepening his understanding of hands-on bodywork and Eastern approaches to health and vitality.
Benjamin later formalised his training in Australia, completing a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2015 and a Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy) in 2024 at Endeavour College of Natural Health. His approach blends modern clinical understanding with traditional bodywork methods developed through years of study and practice.
In 2009, Benjamin established Curatio on Japan’s Shonan Coast near Tokyo. After returning to Australia in 2013, he relocated the practice to the Gold Coast, where he now works from Elanora. Alongside his clinical work, Benjamin also teaches Immortal Arts Qigong, sharing traditional movement and energy practices that support long-term health and wellbeing.
Miyo Natori
Massage Therapist & Yoga Teacher
Miyo was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. In 2008 she travelled to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she began studying Traditional Thai Massage. After returning to Japan, she soon joined the renowned Tocoyo Healing Arts clinic in Tokyo.
Over the next five years, Miyo worked at both the Ginza clinic and the popular Karuizawa branch, located within the five-star Hoshinoya resort complex in Nagano Prefecture. During her time at the Karuizawa salon she was promoted to clinic manager, where she played an important role in expanding the business and growing its clientele.
Miyo continues to travel regularly to Chiang Mai to further her studies in Thai massage and reflexology, deepening her skills and knowledge of traditional bodywork.
In late 2013, Miyo moved to the Gold Coast, Australia, where she now lives and continues to practise Thai massage and reflexology alongside her busy role as a mum.
